Bit Defender is an exciting new tool I found this month. A friend's computer was attacked by a very mailcious virus/spyware file named KORGO. It took me several days and attempts to discover how to fight this threat and Bit Defender is now a major favorite!

Housecall Trendmicro is another great source to get an online scan for your computer. We use Housecall frequently in conjunction with our other anti-virus and anti-spyware software choices. Housecall can disinfect infected files and get your system running clean again in no time.

Grisoft's (free) anti-virus software has been our choice for several years now. It is my opinion that no virus software is 100% effective 100% of the time and this is certainly true for Grisoft. They do have more technical anti-virus software that you can purchase. Still we use the free edition in conjuction with the powerful online scanners from Housecall and Panda to keep our computers running the best that is possible.
